I'm curious if anyone knows where to purchase a black leather T-Shifter for the automatics? I have a 2000 Camaro - Automatic and would prefer the T-Shifter to the stock shifter. I've searched the forums - but all I can find is metal/plastic ones. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you can put a stock Firebird automatic shift knob on a Camaro. A leather shifter came with the Monsoon stereo on the Firebird. Ours is a manual the knob is leather wrapped, and I think the automatics have it too.Black 2002 Camaro M5-SS takeoff muffler, B&M Ripper, K&N Filter, 35/20% tint, Infinity speakers, Viper alarm, perpetually breaking clutch return spring mod. 15.49@90.15
Pewter 2002 Firebird M5 (Dad\'s Car)

Good news for ya, not only can you use the t-handle shiftknob from a firebird, but you ca also use the automatic shiftknob from almost any GM car, (exe: grand am, grand prix, bonneville, monte carlo, lumina Z34...) NOTE!!! as long as the shiftknob is about 1991 or newer it should fit. there might be a few exceptions, such as some caddies, but any pontiac, chevy, or olds should work just fine. I recomend going to your local junk yard. I took the ****fknob from my dad's 98 grand prix to see if I liked that better, but stayed with my t-handle.98 White T-Top Firebird
w/ the crome 5 star rims
FRA, Smoothed stock lid,
Dynomax Super Turbo Exhaust
http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/view_page.pl?page_id=346111

I have a black leather T-Shifter in mine. I got it from abtivanconcepts.com It is real leather, not fake plastic crap. Just go to that site and look for the shifters that will fit Camaros. Hope its what your lookin for. That gave me a good idea..I would rather have a stock-looking shifter like what's on the Pontiacs as opposed to aftermarket.-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.
