• My car 3/4ths a year later

i'm not sure if this would go here or the lounge, so i'm sorry if this is the wrong forum.

I bought my car off of ebay in august of last year. It was a 95 3.4l with 60k miles on it, i bought it for $3,650 (salvage title). I know i know, what was i thinking buying a car off of ebay, and one that was half the price of what it should have been... red flag right there... There were a couple things wrong with it but here's a running total of EVERYTHING i've done so far:

Windows weren't working right, needed a new switch $10
Passenger sun visor $40
Car wouldn't shift out of park in the rain, new solinoid (sry can't spell) $40
Aiwa CD player $150
all 4 aftermarket speakers $170
Amp + subs/box (part was payed for as a gift) $170
Clear corners all 4 corners $60
'Camaro' inserts, 2 sets for $7 off of ebay
Hatch window tinted $75
Pace setter catback exhaust (3" pipes) off of ebay (gota love ebay) $160
SLP CAI from a store that lost their lease and was getting rid of everything (thx stockv6cam) $140
Cheap *** car alarm from crutchfield parents made me buy $180

Grand total of everything + car = $4852

anyone else care to post their lists? especially if you've replaced gears/cams... i'd like to see how much that costs so i can be ready to do it next year.

Nothing wrong with eBay. I got my 98 off eBay for $6k with a salvage title also. Guy gave me receipts of like $16,000 worth of work done to fix it and aftermarket, I came out pretty far ahead on it still too.
Your car looks great! I'm getting gears installed soon too, so I wanna see what everyone's paid so far for their installs and stuff.

Your car does look great cant beat the price. I hate the way people strive from salvage cars, **** theres a 2001 SS all redone with 3k rims and 11k miles and a salvage title on ebay for like 10k

Nice car, I like it, I really like green Camaros :D .There is nothing wrong with a salvage title as long as the work was done right. You can save some major money if you can fix it yourself or know someone who can for cheap. My Z-28 has a salvaged title and soon you'll never know :D Here's the list on the Z so far

Fenders-120 each
Nose- 215
Hood Latch-33
Bracket-17
Support-15
Header Panel-100(might send back found a used one that comes with headlights and buckets)
Radiator Support-125
Rebar-50
Frame straightened-500
Paint for rebar, core support, bracket and support and eveything to be put back on- 200
Air bags and sensors-33
Mods-
Aluminum driveshaft-150
1LE elbow-45
LT4 KM-30
Paid 3000 for the car
750 in parts so far
700 in frame work
Still along way to go but my total is around 4500.
After this I won't have to much left to get except for small things here and there and to have it painted. 6000 will probably be around the grand total(not including mods, just body work and car itself). I'll post pics soon of the progress. I also have an sftermarket SS hood coming too. I found out something cool about the car, the previous owner has already installed a set of Hoctkis springs. I knew it was a little lower than stock.

thanks guys.

Yeah Dominic, i thought the tips were huge also, but they came with the exhaust so i used them . Eventually i'll change the muffler/tips.

I'd still like to know how much new gears/cam costs total if you gentlemen would be so kind (now i'm really getting in the wrong forum! )
