  • Chrome rims problem PLEASE HELP... please?

So I got this chrome polish by eagle1... sprayed the crap on, hosed it off and my chrome rims now look like polished alluminum. Did this crap actually take off the chrom??? If so, what the hell can I do to get them back if there is a way? I never knew a $5 bottle of CHROME polish would F the chrome up!

try to find u a buffer that will pollish them and use some rubbing compound. other than that u could maybe clear coat them.

Well I'm a god damn idiot. My wheels aren't even chrome... They're aluminum. I just kept them up so well they shined like mad. I used a chrom cleaner on aluminum wheels so my question now is can I get an aluminum cleaner and fick the problem?

I tried polishing them with blue magic... NO results. Should I try using a dremel tool?

Try some aluminum polish...it comes in a little silver can. Works wonders. Some wheel cleaner ****ed up my wheels and the polish brought them back to new. A good coat or two of wax will help keep them looking cleaner too.
