How much does it take to get your hood painted? Does the new paint mach with the old paint?

$300-500 depending on who does it.

The new hood paint can either be matched to your car's paint if say your current paint is faded... Or you can have it painted to the OEM body color code if your paint is in very good condition. It should match. Some colors match easier than others.

I got a slightly off topic question...where is the paint code on our cars? I can't find the little plate under the hood on the firewall (probably underneath the dash like everything else under the hood  )

You can find your color code on the drivers side door where you find all your codes. If your car is white and you dont take it to some one that does an excellent paint guy they will F**k it up. White isn't easy to match. But that was my experience. And the hood cost $400.00 to get painted.

it was gonna cost me like $200 to get my aftermarked hood painted, but then the guy realized HE needed to install it (DUMB A$$). so its like $250 for paint and install. by the way, if your car is factory red like min, the code is: U 8774. just a little FYI.

you can install the hood yourself. its not that hard, especially if you have a friend.
