Would 500 degree paint work on the 3800 series II part of the engine? and would any kind of primer work? or is there a primer for engines? I already have primer and 500 degree spray paint, and I wanted to know if it would be alright seeing as if it does, no point in buying more paint. Thanks.

I painted mine with the High Temp engine paint. Its the same thing I used to paint my calipers with, looks great!Comment

how are you going to spray it with spray paint? are you making a template or masking it off? just curious as I would like to do this in the future and I have some red 500* spray paint laying around.Comment

I did mine with touch up piant. not a very good job but oh well no one looks close enough to see anywayz! :cool:2000 Firebird V6, Fire engine red w/ t-tops. All power options, flowmaster 80 series exhaust with dual chrome tips,Chrome 16\" rims ,Taylor red 8 mm wires, Splitfire plugs, free ram air with K and N, red painted brake calipers.
