Would 500 degree paint work on the 3800 series II part of the engine? and would any kind of primer work? or is there a primer for engines? I already have primer and 500 degree spray paint, and I wanted to know if it would be alright seeing as if it does, no point in buying more paint. Thanks.

Since I already have the 500deg paint, might as well use it, I do have touch up paint...I'll just try out the spray paint, if it turns out bad, I can always sand off the paint since its metal under the paint, it won't damange my engine or anything.

how are you going to spray it with spray paint? are you making a template or masking it off? just curious as I would like to do this in the future and I have some red 500* spray paint laying around.
