Alright, here's the story. Bought some Black Reflective decals for the rear panel from Ebay. Didn't know what to expect when I got them since I've never really seen them before. Looked like plain black stickers to me. Well, putting them on was very frustrating. While putting them on, some tore in half and I had to use black touch up paint to fill in those areas where it was tore. Finished product: Bubbled up, ****ty looking inserts. Looks good from a distance, but when you get close you see where it had to be touched up and you see bubbles and folds. I want these inserts out! How do I remove them? They are really stuck in there. Do I scrape them out? I don't want to see any traces of it being there. Any good suggestions on how to remove this crap? I doubt any of you have had the same experience.

Yea I was actually just thinking about doing that. But would they stick as good? I don't want to spend all that money on those and they fall off or not last as long. The inserts that are in there right now are really thin and stuck in there good. Maybe they would hold. What do you think? Plus I really wanted the reflective kind. Are the ones from RK reflective?

I'm sure they would stick fine as long as the surface is fairly clean and smooth. The adhesive is pretty strong. I must say that they look very nice on the car too.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website

I think goo gone would take those stickers off. You might want to check out http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm to get instructions on putting them on. From what I hear, that guy sells pretty good stuff, I've never bought anything so I dont know..1999 C5
2000 Ford Lightning
Don\'t hate me because I\'m awesome

see, its not the sticker its you....the trick is soapy water...and I know your thinkin then its not gonna stick but once again thats the point...spray the surtface with soapy water, put the sticker on there, move it to where you want it, and press out all the water as much as you can...then let it dry in the sun and they'll never come off....how I did mine and they look great

nikon is right. use soapy water. that is the best way to get the best finish. it smoothes out nicely. that's how i did my stripes.the nice thing is is you can move them around and pull them back off until you get them where you want them. then when you got it squiggy out the water with a plastic puddy scraper. then let fry in the sun. Come out to Virginia and I'll put the letters on for ya! ;) I've done it enough so I know all the trouble you're talking about. Do what the others said and spray it with a drop of soap to a spray bottle of water. Be careful not to push too hard when you apply them as they will slide around fairly easily. Once you have them in place dap them lightly with a towel. Let it sit for maybe 30 minutes and then dap again applying more pressure.
The one's from RK SPort are really great though but not reflective like you want. They are high quality and wont fall off. My boyfriend had them on his 99 SS.
Good luck!2000 Pewter Metallic Formula M6

My 2000 Formula

I would have used the soapy water idea but the instructions clearly stated to not use water when they are reflective inserts. Nothing I can do about it now though, they are stuck!96 Camaro 3.8
Black/Metallic Teal exterior, T-Tops, OEM Chrome wheels. That\'s bout it right now..

I learned the hard way also. i didnt real all the directions and i just tried to stick them on there. the second time i actually got them on, still without using the soapy water... its a longs story. soon after i figured out the water would have made it ten times easier. do that and you should have no problem

get some new reflective decals from Brent Franker. he has the best prices and they're really good quality. i have the rear inserts and just got a firebird decal made for my STB. i did the soapy warer trick and it made things really easy. its really hard to get them right the first time so the soapy water allows you to slide them into the right spot.94 Firebird - Red A4
http://members.cardomain.com/predatorbird
