  • Just painted my tail filler........

I wanted it to be like the flames and graduate in colors so I cut two stencils and airbrushed it.

I wanted to put it on the car this weekend but it wasnt quite dry and I just dropped of the car at the body shop to get the chip fixed. It wont be done till Wednesday :(

Michelle did you just paint over the previous sticker?! mine is still that pinkish color of the faded red. I can airbrush it also, so would that work?! airbrushing right over the old sticker?!
      thanks

Ken...no I didnt paint over the old paint(it's not a sticker). I bought a used tail filler for $20 that was on a TransAm. I wetsanded it down with 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper. It takes maybe 20 minutes till you get all the "pink or red" off then make sure you get the raised portions sanded down also till its all smooth. You'll be left with a very dull filler from the paper so you have to take 3M's Fine Cut Rubbing Compound to get it back to shiney. It takes some rubbing but dont worry as you can see by the pic it shines up. And dont worry if you still see some slightly dull spots because they all disappear when you clear coat! :D
