It is about as expensive as fixing a wrecked car on the front you need panels and wiring and the such and that is it.2002 M5 Bright Metallic Silver
*Fully loaded and modded

2005 GSXR 750
*Micron Serpent Race Exhaust *K&N Filter *Power Commander *Trying to hit 200 MPH!

1970 SS 454 Chevelle Cortez Silver
*It can pass anything but a gas station

Bad news for all you front end wnnabees. (like me)
I've been doing some research on this and I found a guy with a 99 parked right next to me in walmart yesterday, and I stopped him and asked him to lift the hood. I compared engine bays/fender mounts/core support/headlight mounts/yadda yadda
The core support for the 3.8L engines is different than the 3.4 ones. (different radiator, I assume and different headlight mounts) Also, the bumper mounts to the fender in a different place. (different bumper, fender is the same... almost, the part numbers are different, but I couldn't see any difference)
It's going to be very hard to convert a 3.4L squarelight to the 98+ front end. Lots of welding and stuff to convert. Not to mention cost and wiring of the new headlights. (lamps/seals/shells are almost $300 EACH!)
Unless someone makes a bumper that will mount to the existing core support, while allowing some place for the headlights to mount, this is going to be VERY hard and VERY expensive. To the point that you might be better off finding a new car!
Sorry for the bad news. I was pissed too.
So now my quest begins to find a new camaro! Wish me luck!
(I wanted a 3.8 anyway)
