Ok guys need some help with this one...search function only comes up with referances to fogged headlight covers. Was wondering if any of you at all have dealt with heavily plaqued covers that just wont come clean and what you used. I'm about to try a couple products I found on the internet during my searching but the sites seem mediocre at best so I'm not sure if I trust them all. Was wondering if any of you guys had some tricks up your sleeves that I could use.
Thanks.
Heres a pic of how bad they are.

you dont even have to sand them, just go to the local wally world/auto store and pick up a bottle of finish restorer. its a fine cut finishing compound to take swirls out of clear coat and it works great on plastic. buff on wipe off

I wet sanded the lights with 400, 800, 1500, then finally 2000 grit paper then after a little rubbing compound and mothers plastic polish this is what i got. Not perfect...
but...better then before
I also did the whistler mod while i was at it...this is the pic just after i shot the last coat of black...hence the masks have not been removed yet. I will get pics tomorrow in the daylight of the finished product.

YOU PAINTED THE WHOLE LIGHT BLACK!!! I HOPE i am wrong but if so wont your lights suck becuaSE they cannot reflect!!!! or is it just me seeing things or am i just wrong!!
As stated in my post that that pic was taken after the last coat was shot and i was waiting for it to dry...Hence the masks have not been removed. If you look closely there are no holes for the lights to come through...its because the tape is covering them

oh ok well looking at it again it looks like the reflectors were painted, noth the lights but all the insides around the lights, is that painted or is it covered up and just playing with mky eyes!!
No thats what I meant. That back area with the reflector planes are all in original chrome paint underneath the painters masking tape. Everywhere from the louveurs (SP?) out is all black however.
You'll see tomorrow once i get pics of the finished product.
