  • My filler panel is cracking

I bought this filler plate I have on my car about a year ago or so and I had wetsanded it and then buffed it (it was a TA one) and I had it blank for a while. I later then added a chrome Firebird to it as well as text that said firebird.

I noticed about 2 weeks ago that its cracking (the entire plate) vertically in 3 areas and 2 are longer than the other. its not split through it though. I have no idea what in the world happened. I dont lean on my car or anything like that so what the heck is going on? Could it have been cause I had wetsanded and buffed it and weakened it? Any ideas besides me just buying a new one? I paid 25 bucks including shipping off of ebay and any other time I looked it was about 90 so I am freaked I wont get a good deal.

do you have any pics of it? it would have to be super thin or youd had to have sanded it for hours to weakin it that much.

Sounds like you just got a dud. Wouldn't blame it on anything you did to it.

It was perfect when I got it but the Trans Am was faded but for the price it was fine. I was looking at it today and decided to take a pic. I know it looks funny cause i wiped it clean where the cracks are. The car is clean now but still very noticable...
