Paint Swirls

Yes, ive read everything there is to read about paint swirls. I just recently had my car painted, about 2 months ago. I have SO MANY swirls on my car, when you walk buy it it just looks like millions of smudges. I take extreme great care of the paint. I wash it with a microfiber towels. Two buckets, one for soap, one after washing a section to rinse it off. I dry my car with 100% microfiber towels. I have a fresh coat of Zymol wax on it. And still i have the worst swirls ive ever seen. Is there anything i can do? Ive tried swirl remover with a random orbital buffer and it looked awsome and swirl free for about 1-2 weeks. and i put a coat of wax over it to try to seal the polish in but the swirls are back and worse than ever. Any one have any tips or advice? please i love my car too much to tolerate these swirls

hard to say, biggest thing is towels usually you don't use any car washes right?

Don't take this personally, but if you are not really skilled with the orbital buffer, you could putting the swirls in the paint. Only true professionals can wheel a car without doing damage. Just a thought.

not only for true professionals, but definately not for amateurs. you should have some experience and a good feel for it other wise you could be doing serious damage.

yeah, it was my first time with the buffer. But the car looked excellent for about 2 weeks or so. Now it looks horrible again. What should i do.

Have a professional wheel the car for you. That should take out the swirls you put in.

what kind of wax are you using? nxt does a wonderful job hiding swirls on mine. also try waxing up and down then left and right. make sure there is no little sticks or fuzz balls in the clothes or apllicators.

If you only had your car painted two months ago and you already were using an orbital buffer that's proabably your mistake: paint that new is still very soft, I would have waited two months before even washing it. Have a professional (reputable) polish it up for you.

Don't give up on the orbital buffer though. Read up a little bit on it (autopia.org is a good forum) It takes a little bit of practice, but you really can't mess up the paint very badly with an orbital, its the rotary buffers that you have to be careful with. Those can burn your paint real fast.

youre supposed to wait a while before waxing the paint after you get it painted. glazing it is allright, but dont wax. give it a while, then take it to a pro shop and have them buff it for you. if youre lucky they'll even give you some pointers in person so you can do it yourself next time you feel you need to.

it could actualy be in your clear coat. Now if I remember right getting it done professionaly, they will actualy "melt" the clear coat and hide the paint swirls. But you have to be VERY CAREFULL! To much will actualy "burn" your clear, and when it's all said and done your car will look like it doesn't have a top coat in spot's. Try to have it done professionaly and see what happens. That's my best advice.

Yeah im not gonna lie the paint job was cheap. Better than maaco but i didnt pay too much so i guess i cant expect too much. But should that really affect the clear coat? and if so is there ways to improve the clear coat?

You may be pressing down too hard when buffing.
