  • Questions about exterior upkeep

I need to start waxing my car now that summer's rolled around. What can anyone reccomend in terms of a wax that provides the best shine and best protection from the elements?

And I know how to wax a car well, the only thing I've never known is, when? Is it best to wax before a wash or wash the car then wax? Or does it even make a difference?

i use Meguiar's NXT and it works great. can't really layer it though...2 or 3 layers max before it doesn't really make a difference anymore. Meguiar's Gold Class is great too.

i noticed on your poll on your cardomain that you might touch up the paint...try using Meguiar's ColorX. that stuff is great for revitalizing color. i used it on mine and it just made it glow.

i wash my car first then dry it then pull it in the garage to wax it. always works well for me.

    good luck workin on it!

you wouldnt want to put a layer of wax over the dirt on your car, so wash it before you wax. I use maguires gold class. Top notch stuff.

Use NXT. Wash it good, dry it good, Apply wax, take wax off, have a beer.

If you want more info on Zaino and best ways to apply it do a search on Zaino... and possibly the screenname MustangEater8251

some info and pics on my experience with zaino here...

if you don't wanna fork up the money for a better product, and just want something off the shelf, NXT as you can see seems to be the new popular wax.
