      Long story to mine...

well my girlfriends house is like 2 miles from me and one afternoon her stepdad and two guys were down behind her house talking about a truck for sale down there. the guys were in an f-250 1999. A white camaro with a 50 year old guy coming from the bar lost control about right there and t-boned the f-250 going 120mph.. threw him from the car into the truck and then smushed him between both. The camaro broke the f-250 in half litterally. nuthin much left of the camaro but the rear filler panel. so i took it after it got the the salvage yard. and i fixed the crack in it went over it with filler to smooth it out and the primed it .. sanded it with 500 up to 1000 to 1200 and then painted it gloss black to match my top and put the rksport silver fillers in it and 3800 decals and y87 decal from firebats cave. looks pretty good.

If I were you i woudl pic up a spare panel so if you ever had to go back if you didn;t like it. And a berger panel is probably dirt cheap its the same on all camaros 93-02 tons of people parting them out and not a "hard to get" part.

I'd dawn/claybar the panel, hit it up with a scotchbrite pad, clean it off, then hit it with some satin black duplicolor... not sure if I woudl clear coat it.

If you have and flaws obviously fix them first.

I bought a black one off of CamaroZ28.com with badges off a '95 Z28 Convertible. Kinda scratched up, but my neighbor is just going to reshoot it real quick.

I did some searchin for pics myself before I did it to get opinions from people. I got a Silver Z28 so the black and silver go great together of course.

It really just depends on the paint on the car already...IMO it looks better on lighter car's and ends in the red spectrum, after that... they it should have been left alone...
