I was talking to my friend(VIperJ) and he said he heard something about being able to take the center console from a 98+ and put it in my 1993. Can it be done? If it can, do I take it from the 98+ firebird or camaro? And does anybody have any instructions on how to do it?

Oh and I also heard that your supposed to have 4 cupholders. Ive been looking at pics of the center console from the 1998+ and so far I havent been able to see 4 cupholders? Maybe I havnt searched enough, Ill keep looking I guess.

I believe the 97+ camaro and firebird consoles are identical. 97-99 were charcoal grey and 2000+ are ebony black, I believe. Should be a simple unbolt your old one and bolt the new one in.

The 97+ Firebird and Camaro consoles are indeed identical as ellik says.
I have fitted a 98 console in my 96 bird.
Unbolt the old one and bolt in the new one. It's as simple as that.
One thing to consider is that there may be a slight gap above the console on 93-96 Camaro's as the original consoles on these have the tape stowage box which is higher than the simalar section on the Firebird consoles.

You will find that 97+ consoles are in high demand - much like honeycomb tail lights and as such command higher prices.
