    is it a waste/stupid to just get an SS hood scoop instead on the entire hood?

    no not really if you want it for looks. besides its like another 300bucks for the airbox assembly. if you like the hood get it. the ram air wont add much hp anyway.

    edit- i read it wrong... dont get the stupid fake scoop that u just put on the stock hood. i hate them damn things.

      no dont get the tape on scoops, they are gay. and no ram air doesnt really add anymore power than a good cold air intake... but my god it looks good.

          this is the one I ordered for my camaro,I still didnt put it on.but it does look good in person if you could put it on and maybe cover the edges with racing stripes

                im gonna have to say that having that fake hood scoop would be defined as "ricer material" you might as well put 60 stickers all over the doors of your car.

                  in my opinion, if you're gonna do appearance modifications, you're better off saving your money and doing it right the first time. If you don't, more than likely you'll be unhappy with it in the long run....besides, that scoop looks too narrow to be an SS scoop, it'll look bad. like i said, just save up for the real SS hood, you'll be happier in teh end
