• Sealing chrome wheels?

This is for my truck but I figure you guys have chromed wheels too Their chrome steelies (look pretty good for steel wheels too) but there was a little rust in the areas where water would pool up. I polished them out with polishing compound and some steel wool for the rusted places and they look really good now but I want them to stay that way. What should I use to seal these and keep them from rusting again?

Hmm, never hear of that.
Get a good clearcoat on them or wax them periodicallty to keep them shining!

The clearcoat idea sounds good, where could I get this done? Or would it be easy enough to use the clear in a spray can just masking off the tires?

I did mine myself, but be careful of what you buy. Make sure the clearcoat doesn't have a glitter/sparkle in it. If you don't know what I'm talking about, ask Shirl. She tried to clearcoat her rims, but the clearcoat had a light glitter in it and she wasn't happy with the outcome.

Looks like good stuff (zoopseal) but I don't plan on keeping the truck much longer anyway, looking for a 98+ camaro if I can sell my firebird. I think I'll just keep a coat of wax on them.
