I made an insert for my shifter indicator and that rubber pad in the little cubby hole... not too significant but i thnk it looks nice, i didnt like the faded look of the old indicator and the light from the lightbulb leaked out and it was ugly, so i covered it, i have memorized where the positions are anyway, just like driving a manual... maybe i should swap trannys? lol
oh and theres some pix of my sawed off shift knob :(
check this link for the shifter pics and another shot of the aluminum plates

also, and this REALLY bugs me... if you look at the very last pic on that page, you will notice that the center console and the ash tray lid are different colors... i think its because the tray lid and the center console are from different years, so although the console fits (ther are some gaps on the sides that might be cause of the year, anyone know?) they are different colors... i might be looking into getting a new one, maybe even from GM so that i get the right year, or on ebay if im sure its the right one, cause armor all doesnt make it black like it used to be, same issue with my gauge cluster bezel....
damn stuff that annoys me...
