hah wow lots of threads by me lately, but they are all pretty seperate from eachother... anyways,
im going to paint my calipers but heres the deal, i dont know if i want to be subtle and just clean them up a little, or if i want to make them more noticable...
check sig for pix.. i have a pretty clean black firebird with chrome rims. nothing too crazy about the car, just the way i like it... but calipers are so tiney that they might look cool red... i remember seeing a black firebird with c5s and red calipers a long time ago, he also has red side vents... pretty cool, but ill probably leave my side vents black/silver.
suggestions/pics pleasE!
oh and the procedure im going to use is...
1. thouroughly clean calipers via simple green, scrub brush, and a wirebrush tool for my drill.
2. tape off car or put old car cover on and tape remaining parts. while car is outside.
3. tape off rotor
4. spray very thin layers on the caliper and let sit to dry... maybe heat from a blow dryer since its really cold here right now... well not THAT cold but im impatient... ill apply 4 thin coats, (thin meaning maybe 2-3 passes over the part with the spray can)
so maybe a total of 12 passes with a drying break in between each third pass.. ) and then ill spray 6 layers of clear with a break in the middle..
sound good?
