Ok, I bought a set of black leather seats from a 01 Trans Am for my Firebird, which had cloth, no power.

I was told on here that it would be be a direct hook up, but it wasn't. For me, there was only one power socket in the car itself, and it didnt fit either of the two hook ups for the driver's seat (not to mention I need two!), and there was none of the passanger side.

No one has been able to tell me anything to the contrary or how to fix this, so Im going to have to do some wire splitting come summer, me thinks :( .

I'd love a set of those seats, but shipping to where I am would be horrific - if even possible.

What i'm thinking of doing is getting a power seat track, and some leather covers to re-trim the seats.

That's what I wanted to do Antman, but the one thing the leather seats have on them is a plastic backing with netting. I don't know why I care about that, but I like it. It makes the setas look more durable.

Yeah i was told the same thing that all you have to do is plug them into the sockets and bolt them up for the power seats to work, i only looked under my drivers side seat, and theirs only one socket, i havent looked under my passenger seat yet. Blazing firebird where you still able to use the seats in your car since you don't have the power working in them yet?

You just need to splice the black and yellow wires from your connector and the connector wires comin from your new power seat. I've been doin this for a while with no problems.
