Hey I have a 2002 firebird with the 16in chrome rims. I was polishing them the other day and notied that they are starting to crack and bubble around the ABS sticker. Someone told me it could because the bolts on the wheels are torqed too much? if any of you can be help thanks

i find it very hard to believe that would cause them to crack. sounds to me like the chrome is just wearing off. dirty chrome rims will chip after time, and if its not a great chrome job, they will begin to chip after a while anyway.

Do you drive it in the winter?
Pull the rim off and look at the back side, inside. Remove the ABS cover and clean EVERYTHING. I had to get rid of a rim where the chrome split, due to road salt corrosion.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
