I am about to polish my ac canister and I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to unhook everything and get it out of my car. Also I will be using different sandpapers and I will get to finer and finer grit and then I am goin to polish with Mothers metal polish. Does this sound right?

300,600,1500,2000. i dont think you need to spend a lot of time with the 300 cause then you wil end up spending more time with the finer sandpaper getting out the deeper scratches. i did it but mine isnt finished yet school started back. anyway i also didnt disconnect mine.no fate but what we make
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1

But wouldn't it be harder to recharge the system rather than polish in the engine bay? Just take off the one nut on the fender holding the line down and there is enough slack to lift up the canister. Also use a polishing wheel in a drill or die grinder to polish it up farily easily.
Mine came out alright for my first time polishing\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.

Yeah I guess you have a point...did u just use on wheel to sand it or did you have to buy different ones?Garrett

2001 WS9 W68 Blackbird A4
Custom Turbo...Chrome ZO6...WS9 Hood...
Custom Leather Interior...
much much more...see website

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/637795/

Everything could be done by hand. Mine had a few deep scratches so I went through the sandpapers to a fine wetsanding 1200 grit. Then used some wenol and a polishing wheel.

I have done mine all by hand.canister and all the lines.I put in a lot of time to get it looking like chrome.Just remove the nut from the fender clamp and the clamp bolt for the canister so you can slide up the canister a little.I used blue magic liquid metal polish.
