  • Bodykit not sticking

I have the wings west w-type body kit and our bodyshop put the kit on about a year ago. Recently I've re-stuck the front and rear kit pieces with heavy duty outdoor 3m double sided tape. Now the kit has started to sag once again, and I was wondering what methods you guys have used to make the kit stick really good. Thanks

Hey man, at the body shop I work at we use the same method with the 3M double sided tape. Maybee you could use some more screws on the corners? I don't think there really is too many other ways.

BTW, where did you get your chrome inserts? And how do you like them?

the best way to go about it is to screw it in. anyting that sticks it to your car will eventually wear out.

Appoxy is your best bet. Handsontools.com sell some urethane appoxy used specifically for ground effects. It works AWESOME. But, it won't ever come off. If that's what your lookin' for, then you can't find anything better.

don't put the appoxy on it will glue it to your paint and it will be hard to get it off, just get the 3m double sided tape

                  sweet ride man.

I had the same problems, but the firebird kit instead. I had to use screws in the center piece to make it hold.

I would use aluminum rivets. Never rust, light & strong.
