  • I'm tired of my bumpers getting hit

Is there anything I can do to keep my bumpers from getting hit while parked on the street? I got backed into last month, and it chipped my paint, got it fixed with his insurance. Today there was a tight spot in front of me when I parked, came back and a blue sunbird was parked there. Checked my front bumper, and surely enough there's scufffed blue paint on my white car and stress cracks in the paint. Do they sell any covers or anything like that to use when you park? Anyone else have this problem, and came up with an idea?

Other than parking somewhere else, I don't think you can do much.

A co-worker once bumped into the car in front and behind while parallel parking. She was totally unconcerned and said, "Why do you think they call them bumpers? They're for bumping!"

I always parked far away from her after that.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

A friend of my dad's had a sweet vette. He was tired of getting his front bumper repainted. So what he did was put a orange parking cone infront of his car. Solved the prob. quick. You could try that. Those cones can be had for cheap.(five finger discount). LOL
