  • For all who have polished their own rims:

My Sergeant has a 2000 T/A with 16" rims that look exactly like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=43956

My question is, he wants to get a nice shiny finish on them by summertime. I know that we can polish them up, but what kind of product(s) are good for this? Example; Buffing wheel, compound, stripper, etc?
Also, we aren't starting this until the weather is a bit nicer, so time is on our side ;)

    Thanx in advance :D

Airplane stripper, then get the elbow working with sandpaper. Working from about 300 range all the way to 1500.. then polish with alum. polish compound. You can use a dremel tool to help with the corners.

My Y2k wheels were polished by hand. You can take a look.
