  • holy **** NXT tech wax is amazing

got a bottle for $15 yesterday and today i put on my first coat in the garage in the 10 degree michigan weather. im sure the garage temp was higher though. anyway, i didnt even know what i was doing- all i did was put big globs on the pad about every 2 feet. left it with the big swirlys everywhere, came back outside 15 minutes later, whiped it off with a microfiber towel, came off like a god and revealed the deepest looking cleanest black color ive ever seen

NXT is great! Hides swirl marks very well. Never wax in a circular motion, always a back and forth motion....making a circular motion with the pad makes swirl marks.

You're supposed to apply the wax front to back on the tops and top to bottom on the sides.

I just bought some of that NXT stuff. We'll see.

There is no way I'm going to use the applicator that came with the package, however. That thing looks like a scratch-o-matic.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

I still don't understand how you're supposed to apply it if you don't apply it in circles.

Do you just apply it and move it up or down on the sides or from the bottom of the hood to the top of the hood?

                        I've never heard of that.

I always wax in straight lines, never in circular motions. Like if I'm doing the front hood, I'll rub the wax on in a front to back motion. Apply pressure while putting the wax on as well, don't just barely smear it on.

Just do whatever works for you. Manufacturers recommend circular so you can overlap and not miss any spots. But some people experience circular swirl marks on the paint. You don't have to worry about that as NXT has some cleaning properties in it to rid of minor swirls.
And the kind of applicator and towels you use will also create this swirl problem. Use this new craze towel called Microfiber, it's very soft.
