• Couple Questions

First questions is, I was wondering if 98 tail lights will fit on a 97 bird?

Seceond question is I have 5 spoke alloys on my bird and I do like those wheels, but I was wondering is there a way to make them chrome and if so what type of shops would do that? Thanks for any light anyone can shed on this.

call up your local rim shop and ask if they or know someone that does chrome dipping...

if its more then 800 go buy yourself some chrome five stars from the for sale section, camaroz28.com, you can check the ls1 boards, people are buying rims all the time maybe you can pick some up... ebay is also an option.. just keep in mind that you can probably pick up someones used chromies pretty cheap.. getting your old ones dipped may be alot of money!

          James -
The only problem with buying rims is that GM doesn't actually make chrome rims (they are high polished). Mine aren't chrome, and I'm pretty sure the type of rims he's talking about are ones like mine. So....you can get them chromed like I said

thanks for the input, and I will make a call to a couple of shops around the area see where I could go and like James said if they do turn out to be more expensive (Well at least to the point where I could get new rims for that price) i'm going to go for the new rims....

and that info about the GM not making factory chrome rims, that's interesting I always thought they did have stock chromies...learn something new everyday....

These are my (factory) rims and they are not chrome:

I don't know of any car manufactuers that make true chrome rims - it's too expensive and too specialized for them to deal with.
