This is "Candy Blue" - similar to anodized blue. A transluscent blue is sprayed over a chrome.

    Get yours today =-D

Here's the story. You order the calipers/brackets in whatever color combo w/ whatever Decal. You also pay a refundable core charge. I prep a core set I have here (tear down innards, degrease, paint remove, bead blast) send them to my powder coat guys, rebuild the calipers w/ cleaned pistons and new rebuild kit, send you the set, and finally you send me back your set once the new ones are installed. When I receive your calipers, I refund you the core charge of aprox $250 (easily done via PayPal). Here's the price break down for the job.

              All four Calipers & Brackets:

              $56 Rebuild Kits
              $10 Decal
              $65 Labor

Powdercoating fees: will soon have actual chart listing of what colors are avail and which cost what, for now here is rough estimate:

$40 basic colors (ie colors I don't have to order - all basics red, orange, silver, etc, with some metallics, chrome, some candy colors - will specify later on website or at time of order)

Add $25 speciailty color (ie color I have to order in, such as Sunset Orange).

Add $40 for anodized/candy color (must be sprayed and run through oven twice).

              So.

At a minimum the total is: $171 (this would be like a bright red caliper/bracket w/ decal).

Specialty coat is $196 and anodized/candy is $211 - $236 depending on whether or not the candy color is in stock. For instance, the set I did below - the coaters had candy blue in stock so I didn't have to order any in from my suppliers.

Shipping is estimated at time of purchase.

You must also factor in the core charge. Core charge may be waived if I am able to get some references, signed letter agreeing to return yours, ..etc.. will decide on case by case basis. But remember that I won't ask for the core money until they're finished and ready to ship - so you could have that money refunded within a week or so if you can hurry with the installation.

I can be reached at cbeasley02@hotmail.com if anyone is interested in an order.

Powdercoating is chemically similar to regular paint, however it's composed of powder particles that are charged and adhere/melt to metal more effectively than paint. It also won't fade or ware and is chemical resistant. No chipping either unless you bash the metal against something ( of course ) but that's the only case were it'll chip.

              Thanks All.

Yep, just ordered the powder today actually. Just let me know via e-mail if you're interested about the calipers.

I'll get back to you on the bottle ASAP. I'll have to check. What size is the bottle? Should be able to do it for $40-50 + shipping.

                  Oops. Neglected to answer these:

Yes I can do navy blue metallic. Will have to check if it is in stock or a color very close. E-mail me if you're serious and I can get back to you soon.

Install is easy (four bolts per caliper/bracket) it's just that you have to bleed the brakes. If you haven't done it before... well, now would be a good time to learn. I'm sure theres a writeup somewhere about it and if not, I can make one. To bleed each brake takes maybe 5-10 min a brake on top of the 10-15 min install time per brake. All you have to do is tighten and loosen a bolt on the caliper (the bolt looks like a grease zerk but is not) as someone pushes on the brake. That simplies it but its not much harder than that. It's something that should be done as routine maintence anyway, so... that way... or take it in... probably cost 2-3 hours worth of labor depending on how slow and stupid they are.
