  • I hate clear corners

    well, to all of those who say this is easy to do, yeah right. that was the worst experience of my life and they look like sh*t. i cant get them to sit right. screwing the bolts back in was nearly impossible. there is no room under there and the lenses are up above a ledge you cant work with it at all and can barely see what youre doing.

    how the hell did anyone do these so easily??? i cannot get them to look good. there is a gap around the lense and the bumper and it looks horrible. did it take you guys awhile to get them to fit nicely or what???

      I just installed mine over the weekend Its a pain but only took me about 10 minutes to install......you have to first slide the fat end "closest to the grille". You will then notice the other side doesnt quite make it past the metal lip when you try to set the light cover flush up in the hole..you have to muscle it past that metal lip. We are only talking an 8th of an inch, but its tough. Once you do that th light sits flush and the screw holes line up perfectly...I love mine :D

          i didn't find it hard, just time consuming. my car is lowered and i didn't have a jack so it was a pain going in from underneath. took about 2 hours total, but i was playing w/ different lights on one side to see what i liked best. the only problem i had w/ installation was that one of the bulbs will not lock into place when i twist on the passenger side. other than that i found everything to be pretty straight forward, just taking off parts and putting them back on.

            I'm not sure how hard they are but I personally don't like the look of them on most cars. The only color they look nice on is silver.

              Going from underneath? wtf? If you manually raise the headlight u can reach right in and the old orange ones pull right out... took me about 15 min, mine fit fine.

                Thats how I did mine also..I never even considered underneath...I had to take off the upper headlight bracket because my forearm wouldnt fit down in the area...

                    Just to let you know you dont have to take the headlight bracket off ....if you can fit your arm...Might even make it easier for you if you do....

                      I just trimed the clears a bit with a hack saw to get past the metal lip. no leaks after I replaced the turn signal gaskit I lost. And A fit perfect. :D

                        93-97 you reach your entire arm (to elbow or so) up through the one-bolt access door, hopefully removing some of the bumper to black plastic bolts too, to give you some working room.
                        98+ you remove the headlight.
                        Pain either way, but I'd like to see you change a foglight!

                          Clear corners are so easy, I'd install them for free for you, if you lived a wee bit closer to me, that's how easy they are and I'm lazy. I think it's normal for a little bit of a gap. I did get out from under the car a couple times to see if they looked good. I hope you get em in right. Good luck

                            i didn't realize i could reach them by raising the headlight until a couple days later when i wanted to change bulbs. if they ever fog up and i need to take them off to drill holes in the bottom, i'll go from the top.

                              93-97 you go from the top man. No reaching up through anything, you pop the hood, lift the headlight, and reach right down there and unbolt it. Nothing easier.
