i have a 95 camaro. for mine i just went under the car, unscrewed/lifted the lights up and out, and put the clear lenses in and screwed it up... couldn't have taken more than 20 minutes.

The so called "metal lip" you guys are talking about has to be taken out. Its "L" shaped and it's black painted metal. it holds the bumper in place, it will be a LOT easier once removed.
