  • Painting the plastic inserts in the front fenders behind the wheels..

    I have seen some pics of members Firebirds where they have painted the black inserts behind the front wheels, usually silver. I think this looks VERY VERY good and would like to do it as well. How is it done? Do the pieces pop out? What paint do you all use? Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

    They just pop right out. And then back in. I just used some spray paint from O'reillys and they have lasted well for over 7 months.

        Nope that's not mine. But I have the same silver inserts as that. if you look at the "wax" post I have a picture in there showing the vents. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

          Hey, thats my car :D (the black one)
          just put 2-3 coats on them, you may want to put a coat of clearcoat on it. It can chip easily.

              I just got done, and ot looks AWSOME!!! I used a can of Krylon Origional Chrome followed by a couple coats of Krylon Crystal Clear clearcoat. Pictures don't do it justice. I suggest this to everyone!
