I recently bought some inverse gauges off of ebay..these ones here actually: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33675
anyway my problem is that when i pluck the gauges off and put my overlay on..the overlay sits too far out to actually put the gauges back on without popping off..or not moving at all. i did some searches and came up with no help. anyone?

pop the gauges off? you mean pop the needles off? i didnt even have to remove my needles to get the gauges on. i have the same ones on the same year car.
I have a 93 firebird, same basic gauge and overlay. I took the needles off and glued the overlay on. I had problems keeping air out from under it which made the needles stick to it. Once I glued it down I didn't have a problem. Make sure you take care of the needles properly when removing them, if thats how you go about doing it.
