ok if i ran a business selling cars why would i ever cover paint chips? its not a manufacturer defect

my factory paint is lousy...what can i do?

Sorry to inform this 96fbird but you would
have to sand all of it off.
There is no way you can put clear c. where
there was clear c. before and try to blend
it with the old corroded clear c.
And if you try to sand off the clear c. with
very fine sand paper, it could also sand off
the basecoat. And if you put clear c. on top
of the barely sanded basecoat, the color could
be dull compared to all of your car.

how much, ballpark range, do you guys think it would cost to repaint my entire car....i was thinking of a metalic dark grey, i have seen some BMW z3's with this color and i love it.
