I have 2 red neons under my dash. I tapped into the headlight wire behind the headlight switch. This way they automatically come on with your headlights. I tried running them into my parking lights, but because the drl's run during the day. They stayed on all the time.

If you want to have them on a switch, split your lighter wire, that is always on, if you want them only when u turn on lights, split like a power wire for heater or gauge lights, that way they are only on when interior lights are on. You can add a switch there too if oyu want

you can hook them up to the fuse box it's really easy. There are ports that are for accessories, i think you can find which ones by looking in your owners manual. you just take a male sided plug crimp it to the wire you are using, and plug it in to one of the acc. portson the fuse box. If you can't find which ones they are from the manual take a twelve volt tester and try all the ports that don't have fuses in them, some of them work when the car is completely off and some only work when the car is on or the key is in the acc position. I had some rigged to my cig lighter through the fuse box. They only came on if you pressed the lighter in. I thought it made a cool button.

Do you have pics or instructions on how you made them come on through your cigarette lighter? I think that's a pretty sweet way to get them to come on.

oh yeah...i just took the power out of the back of the cig lighter...it's easy. you could also come out of the acc. in the fuse box. that's really easy too, but i have my radar dectector in there.
