  • Cloth/Leather Trim on door panels

How do you get that trim off, that part on the top of the door panel thats either cloth or leather, i found some cheap door panels but they have cloth and i need to pop that off and stick my leather ones on. Plus how easy does it go back on, Is it glue or something?

There are plastic pieces that stick through holes and are then melted to hold it onto the panel. My leather panels were screwed on with very short (1/4") screws.

yeah, it's a mess to replace just the inside part of the panel covered with cloth/leather. I was going to take my existing panels and cover them with white leather to go with my white car, but it wasn't working so well, I had to cut off all the plastic tabs that were melted down to hold the panel on. I got it off, couldn't seem to get the insert covered, said screw it, and put the insert back in, had to use some screws with washers in a few spots, and I used a hot glue gun for all those fun little tabs all the way around. Been like this for 3 months and so far no problems. It's do-able, expecially since you already have the leather inserts.

Anyone know of someone selling door panels with the white leather inserts???
