• Best way to remove wax?

Title says it all. Do i use dish washing liquid? If so...how many times should it take? Ive got such a "buildup" on my car and i want to get down to just the bare clearcoat so i can redo everything. Thanks,

    Brandon

Dish soap should do it. 2 washes should be plenty.

Dish soap and a clay bar should take everything out easily

dish soap will work, but mothers actually makes a soap that works even better.

Yep. I just used a LITTLE bit of dish soap, washed the car, and then rinsed it. Then I clay barred the car, using soap water in a spray bottle of lubricant. Followed that up with the Meguiers' 3 step Paint Cleaner/Polish/Wax system.

Here are two pics from the car show I took it to.

For the cracks and hard to reach areas use a tooth brush. It's the tool of the gods. I use a tooth brush for everything. Cleaning my interior, getting wax or compound out of edges, **** if it's clean enough you can probably still clean your teeth with it.

I recommend using dish soap and then glazing the car with Meguiars #7 show car glaze. It will strip every ounce of wax off the paint and polish it lightly in prep for a very nice wax application.
