  • Trim around gauge cluster.

    Hey this is for all the people who painted that piece of trim around your cauge cluster ( I dont wanna do it i wanna get to my gauges !!). How do i get if off a 96 Bird. Does it just snap out like everything else on our cars or what? i was messing w/ it today but didnt seem like it moved too easily any help would be very much appreciated thanx :cool:

    Ususally there are a few screws you have to take off around or under your steering column.

      yeah, triad is right. On mine there are 2 screws that come out with I think a 7mm socket. They are at the top and can't see them unless you look from lower down. From my experience almost everything inside these cars can be taken out with a screw driver and a couple sockets, just spend some time tugging at things and poking around to find the screws. When I get board I usually go find something to take apart on my car, it's great fun, or extremely frustrating.

          well... i just actually pulled mine off. no screws or notin. its held in by clips... just pull and it will come out.
