Idea with billet grille install....need opinions...

I ordered my stull billet grille and it should be in sometime this week. What i was thinking was mounting an LED light bar as seen here...

The 2nd one down.
I want to mount it in the center of the car behind the grille so in the daytime it could not be seen. But at night either by switch, or when i arm my alarm it would come on. Kinda like the knight rider thing i guess. I think it would look pretty cool myself. It would be in blue color also. Or if anyone knows where to find a better LED bar somewhere else that would be cool too. Thanks for any opinions.

The LED bars are really bright. It wont just show the LEDS like a knight rider... They give off a good glow!

With these models i know they have different light patterns. Such as the back and fourth motion similar to Kitt from knight rider. Thats why i want it...i think it would be kinda neat.

sounds like a cool appearance mod, but 2 things... 1.) dont get caught, and 2.) DONT GET CAUGHT!!! i had some red LED hood lights and when a cop pulled me over, he said if he wanted to he could give me an $85 fine for having red lights on the front of my vehicle. he didnt, which i was grateful, but just something to consider. if you get it, great, just dont drive with em.

Well you are not suposted to have blue or red lights on the exterior of your car anywhere.... Also cant be visible if they are inside... Its a law everywhere.Because stupid people inpersonate cops....

Well, after taking my front tag holder off, i realized that there isnt enough room behind the grille without doing some cutting. Oh well, it was a good idea i guess.

was just gonna say that, I tried it before...y'know what did look cool that I did though...little 4in. neons mounted in the foam y'know the little holes behiond the grill...looked cool, or even mount em on the little up/down bar on the grill and line the inside of the hole with some reflective something or other....never got aroudn to it, but looks cool as hell
