What kind of clay is in this bar?

What kind of clay is a claybar made out of? Just curious to see if anyone knows cause it might be something cheap you can go buy at a craft store or is it a special kind of clay. Just me being cheap and curious here

I never used one, but alot of the members on this board use the mothers clay bar system. I think last time I checked it was 16.99 at autozone. Kinda expensive, but from the reviews I hear, it is worth it so I wil try it in the spring [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img]

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to just buy the clay bar and not the spray that comes with it. But the Clay Magic kit only costs $9.99 so I just buy that one now.

Get the Clay Magic one, not mothers.

get meguires. the bar is just nicer to use and really works well, Ive used them all and on a whole car basis I like that one best. Its only like 16 bucks and man is it worth it. The mothers one really sticks to my hands when I use it.

Check you local Wal-Mart. We stopped carrying it this spring and put it on clearance for like $9.00 (Mothers Gold Bar) They might still have some left in your area.

everything ive heard about teh meguires bar is that it was crappy...the bar leaves a residue and falls apart...ive used mothers twice and i bought my last one at wal-mart for 11.72...im probably gonna try the clay magic bar next time...
