Intake manifold color?

My intake manifold has an orange look. Is that what they normally look like? I was under the impression that it should be more of a silver or grey color. Is their any way to clean it or remove that orange appearance?

I think that thats just protectant from rust and crap!

If your really worried about it, scrubb it with some engine cleaner, and periodically clean off any grime that may form.
