• I washed my car today and I noticed a few things.

    1. It has about 8 chips in the paint from rocks I guess.

    2. At the bottom of the panel right behind the rear passenger's side wheel, the clear coat has come off. There's a place about an inch long and 1/2 an inch wide where the clear coat has came off. What should I do about this? If I leave it alone will it get worse?

    3. I have y2k corvette rims and the inside of the wheels were kinda rusty so I took them off and used steel wool on the inside part to clean the rust off. After that I polished the rims with mother's mag polish. The wheels look great now but, did I mess up anything by using the steel wool on the inside of the wheels? I mean like was there some kind of finish or protective coating on there that I might have rubbed off with the steel wool?

BTW my car is a 2000 camaro with 40k miles.

you can probably wax the rims to prevent them from rusting again. That's my best guess

I'd say you're right. I kinda looked like rust though.
