Removing Tar

Any ya'll have any good products that get rid of them little dots of tar all over the car? I use a Bug & Tar Remover (I forget what brand), and it doesnt work at all. So anyone have anything that works good?

seems like i've used WD-40 once along time ago...wouldn't hurt to try it..let it soak on for minute two..worse case you could try a little gas on a rag...i'd wash it right after i tried that though

I’ve used very fine rubbing compound and that seems to work. But if you do that then you’ll have to wax. Also I have used some bug and tar remover before and actually rubbed some paint off. So be careful! The best thing that I used is wax. You might have to put some effort into it but it usually comes off.

i always just used elbow grease

I use a lot of elbow grease but its not good enough. I cant take my fingernail and scratch at it and get it to eventually come off, but it would take forever that way.

i think i heard somewhere that peanut butter works well for removing tar, not sure thoh
