hey shenanigans, how long did it take you to do your t top conversion?

i'm so excited we are going to start saturday. well i'm going to start this afternoon. simple stuff, take the headliner out of the car and visors. i think that i might take out the seats too. i'm not too sure. so i know a t top conversion hasn't been done here in a while so i'm going take alot of pics and post alot on this thread.

it's not every day that you get to cut the roof off your car! so if there anyone who want to come over and watch or lend a hand your more than welcome. i know a few people are going to be there already. email me

hockeyman we are going to go out to eat at 7 am saturday and then go start the project. give me a call.

If you want a tip, we didn't do it but I have heard peaple have. Keep the old headliner in when you do alot of cutting, it containes the mess some.

Also remember if after you cut metal vaccuum your car asap. Even though you think everything was covered you will still have "metal shavings" in the rug.

after 3 days I got a few rust spots under the seat where I didn't vacuum well once a little humidity kicked in.

Good luck. Once you peal the roof skin off its a cake walk.

I have to work 2p x 10p on saturday, but I'll stop by a few hours before I have to report in. I have Sunday & Monday off so I can probably lend a better hand those two days.
May add another tip; Remove the seats altogether. This way they won't be in the way and it helps with the cleanup too.

                              haha congrats...

the only part that I thought really hard was the initial cutting of the skin.

After that it jsut seemed like a "project car" didn't seem so much like your own because it didn't look the same.

                              well good luck.
