Do you mean a targa top? Or a full convertible? I know that someone did a targa top on a F-body before...but I believe you have to reinforce the chassis, because the T-top bar factors in the structural integrity of the chassis.1998 M5 3.8 Mystic Teal Camaro
Flowmaster exhaust, Pacesetter headers, 3\" cat, 3\" S-pipe, whisper lid, ram air, Spec Stage 1 clutch, Poly Trans mount, Walbro 255LPH. the cost to do a "convertabl conversion" woudl cost thousands, and require tons of custom.
It woudl possible be cheaper to do a ls1/6-speed swap and a t-top conversion then add a few grand in mods then it woudl be to convert to a convertable.

You would have to change the whole car around. Everything from the subframe to the rear hatch would be modified. The t-top conversion is alot easier and doesn't require nearly as much work & $$ch'ching$$.
Trust everyone here, it's much easier/cheaper buying a 'vert.sigpic

Yeah you would definitely want some good SFC's if you did that...00 Black Firebird V6
Whisper Lid, K&N Filter, FTRA, Flowmaster American Thunder, HPP3, Bilstein HDs, BMR STB

02 Black WS6
100% Stock

http://www.guysoflidar.com Honest & Unbiased Radar Detector Tests - See who makes the Best Radar Detector!

the car would need a lot of reinforcement, like has been said. youll note that a lot of chasis/suspension parts sold online are convertable/coupe specific. there are a lot of differences.

honestly I think the easiest part woudl be the strengthening of hte chassis.
the hard part is cutting and reworking the rear of the car to work with a convertable.-Eric
2000 NBM V6 Camaro 5-speed T-top converted
14.467@95.45mph $0 in mods
The member formerly known as MustangEater8251
