Do you mean a targa top? Or a full convertible? I know that someone did a targa top on a F-body before...but I believe you have to reinforce the chassis, because the T-top bar factors in the structural integrity of the chassis.

the cost to do a "convertabl conversion" woudl cost thousands, and require tons of custom.

It woudl possible be cheaper to do a ls1/6-speed swap and a t-top conversion then add a few grand in mods then it woudl be to convert to a convertable.

I serously doubt it. It would probably take more money than it would cost to just buy one.

You would have to change the whole car around. Everything from the subframe to the rear hatch would be modified. The t-top conversion is alot easier and doesn't require nearly as much work & $$ch'ching$$.

Trust everyone here, it's much easier/cheaper buying a 'vert.

Yeah you would definitely want some good SFC's if you did that...

the car would need a lot of reinforcement, like has been said. youll note that a lot of chasis/suspension parts sold online are convertable/coupe specific. there are a lot of differences.

honestly I think the easiest part woudl be the strengthening of hte chassis.

the hard part is cutting and reworking the rear of the car to work with a convertable.

my vote is to just get a vert rather than try it and find out that you recked the car or don't have enough money to finish the job
