  • 1000 grit sand paper

What do you think of this sand paper. I plan on using it on my car after the touch up paint and then use a compound wax, and then polish it.

Has anyone here tried it yet? Did it work well?

1,000 seems a little low, might be a little rough on it.do you have some already? if you do and it doesnt seem that rough maybe im wrong but, 1,000 seems too low to me.maybe like 2,000. sure it might take a little longer but u wont mess up the car.

I have a package of 1500 and 2000 grit I found at a swap meet. Try a body-shop or ebay.
        Ebay's prices are:
        1500 grit
        2000 grit

Walmart here doesn't have it either, neither do the autostores...

nor hobby shops, Lowers/home Depot best I found was 1500 at an Ace hardware.

never wetsanded my car gonna try it on a pair of spare headlights. I highly suggest hitting up the area with a orbital buffer and some 3M scratch/swirl remover.

all 3 of the ones near my house have it near where they keep the duplicolor auto touch up paint.
