Ok, I'm looking at buying a pair of Elite 7 black leather racing seats for my '96 Camaro. The guy that is selling them has brackets for them but they are for a 97-03 Grand Prix. What would I all need to install them on my car? Do I have to buy special brackets or can I use my stock ones? If I do have to buy brackets where would I buy them? I have power seats if that matters.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dustin
I dont think you can make your aftermarket seats into power seats for one, but the brackets probably wont be the same, im pretty sure the grand prix seats sit alot higher up then the camaro seats..
not really sure where you can get them
i have never seen racing seats in a camaro
seems like something you would do to a honda
I've never heard of Elite 7 seats. Make sure they are well made because if you get in a wreck and the seat snaps in half you won't be thinking: "well, atleast they looked cool". All you should need are brackets from that company for your specific car and seats to install them.
There is nothing wrong with putting in racing seats. Plenty of people who actuall track their f-body have racing seats because our stock ones don't hold you for ****. I have seen sparcos and corbeaus in f-bodys before and our sponsor thunder racing sells corbeau racing seats.
Yea, I've seen a few Camaros with racing seats, they look pretty cool. If I bought some stock Camaro sliders (non-power), do you know if those would work? And the passenger side isnt power (I dont think)so I would only have to buy one for the drivers side. I heard from someone that this might work but he wasnt positive.
Thanks for the help.
Dustin
