because they have amber which looks like ***, and don't flow with the lines of the car like a the 93-96 do?
I don't know I just don't like amber on silver, blue, teal, or green. I can deal with it on red, black.

I just added front and rear clear corners on today and I have to say...that was the biggest PITA I've ever done to my car. The rears are just one hex-head screw but the front were a joke! I'd rather change my spark plugs 20x over before I'll ever do that again.
But I'm with you on this. They make a 2000+ Camaro look awesome.
2000 Camaro V6<br />I\'ve done nothing to my car worth note. :)
On my car, it was almost like the lenses were bigger than the space they came out of. And add to that, the crash-resistant styrofoam used to shape the bumper being right on top of it and you have a recipe for bruises and anger. They look great but they almost weren't worth the trouble. I certainly won't ever do anything like this again. I'll take the entire darn bumper off and put them in before I ever attempt to do it in place.
On a good note, the bruises have almost gone away on my right arm. Even changing out the bulbs on those things you almost have to be a contortionist! I'd like to find the guy that designed that bumper setup and kick his butt. He's earned it.

Chrome bulbs? The kit I ordered just came with some regluar bulbs that have been dipped in amber. What's interesting is that at night, the clear corners now look exactly the same as the ones I took out. ARGH! Heh
I got some clear side markers and the bulbs that came with them are dipped in red and they look almost pink at night. I'm gonna see if I can find some that don't look as fruity.

Don't know I consider myself pretty handy with cars but mine was a pain too... I had to squeze the new lights in and the old ones out, I coudl have sworn I was going to brake them. Spent alot o time doing it trying different angles because I was worried I was going to break them.

Same here. I DID break the old ones getting them out but I wanted them gone anyways. Getting the new ones back in was even more of a pain. If someone smashes into the front of my car and breaks my lenses I'm gonna kick their ...

get the chrome bulbs that light up amber as mentioned above. they are like 15 bucks instead of the regular 5. I'm sure almost any autoparts store has them.

thats the idea, it keeps them legal. if you dont like them, just put your old bulbs back in.
When I painted my car i had taken my fronts out... they arent really THAT much of a pain... I guess the key to it all is PATIENCE!!!! Im not sure if i should go with the clears or not... GOSH BIG DECISION TO MAKE HERE!!! check out my site and tell me if i should?!
