ss hood SCOOP

does anybody know where i might be able to find just a ss hood scoop... not the complete hood. lol yea i know you all think adhesive hood scoops are rice and i reckon they are, but i hate to pay $400-500 on a hood right now so plz help me out. appreciate it!

Maybe check out autozone or advance in the civic aisle, I mean the ventshades stuff. They always have the horrible looking things.

lol alright... i was also considering a harwood fiberglass cowl induction hood scoop. does anybody have a pic of one actually installed on a camaro, not just the scoop by it self?

you can find just the scoop on ebay...seen it a million times. Just type in 98-02 Camaro and search. I think you should wait till you hit a deer or get it dented or something before you change your hood. No point in changing out a perfectly good hood in my opinion.

I thought of doing this...but you have to take in mind that the stock hood vents in the stock hood will be there with the SS scoop...itll look like ****.

I was watching pimp my ride earlier, it was a re run of the nissan that they turned into a exact look a like from a need for speed underground car. Anyways, they used a fake dual hood scoop, looked so horrible, then the fact that it was just stuck on top. I mean wouldnt that really cause some drag as well?

yea you guys are all right... i've decided to just go with a cowl induction hood. it might take a little longer to get but i think i'll be alot happier with it when its all said and done. i'm just low on money right now b/c i got a ticket about 2 weeks ago and its costing me a whole ****load of money lol

man I say do your thing, you don't have to worry about what everybody calls rice, because they don't know what they're talking about. Those people are haters, but if you don't want to get a whole hood then just get that scoop BUT make sure you pay the money to get it molded to look real. hoods don't make cars faster, they're mainly for looks. I say do a search on msn for the scoop, because I've seen them on the net before, or go on ebay and find a hood at a cheap price!
