Well I know in the winter if you use a cover to protect it and it snows and freezes, you cant get it off.

Here in FL I use one ALWAYS to protect from rain/weather/sun and it works great. I recommend one from classicindustries - Im using their Evolution cover, protects against everything, cost me maybe $120? Really good fabric. Had it a year now

well i'm not going to need to take it off when it's cold anyways so it freezing on there doesn't really matter....

I've heard here that the SLP and Covercraft covers are good, I myself have a Coverking Stormshield I picked up on eBay for $65. It's custom fit for the Camaro and so far it's been great. The only thing to look out for is the antenna as most covers don't come prepunched. You'll either have to cut your own hole or switch to a power antenna if you use it daily. Since you're thinking long term you can just take the antenna off first.

I like the Weathershield - excellent water repelling, excellent UV protection, does not break down in sunlight. I don't know what it does in snow & ice (we don't get too much of that down here ;) ).

              I bought mine here:

Same as California Car Covers sells, but less expensive:
