start with this
sand down the rough spots and smooth it all out
75 grit to 320 grit
degrease/clean/spray primer
sand out primer (400 grit) and spray basecoat
allow base to dry and spray clear
allow to dry for a couple of days, polish and glaze

i'm going to paint mine also. probably pewter and 2 black stripes going down the bottle. hehe. gotta match my car. eehehhe also my track helment is already the right color so i'm going to put 2 stripes on that too
